Serge QUEILLE graduated from ENSAM (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts & Métiers) in 1967. He obtained a Masters degree from INSEAD in 1991.
He started his aeronautical career in 1971 when he joined the Aircraft Division of Aerospatiale in the position of Equipment Purchasing Manager. Three years later he was named Head of the Cost Estimation Department followed by the position of Head of the Commercial Department in 1977.
In 1982 he took overall responsibility of suppliers selections, contracts and developments on the ATR and Airbus 320 programmes as Head of Equipment Purchasing.
In 1985 his career took an important step when he was named Head of Purchasing & Logistics for the Toulouse plants of Aerospatiale’s aircraft division. In this position Serge QUEILLE set up a new logistics organization and was responsible for the EDI Procurement Project launch. He was closely involved with the Airbus 340 launch and development.
Seven years later he was named Head of the Aeronautic Purchasing Department where he launched a 30% cost reduction project. Between 1995 and 1999 he was in charge of the Economic Affairs Department for ATR activities in Aerospatiale’s Aircraft Division.
In 1999 he was named Senior Vice President Finance & Economy for the ATR subsidiary of Aerospatiale Matra (now part of EADS).
In the new ATR Integrated Structure Serge QUEILLE is named in the position of Senior Vice President Finance.
Born in 1944, he is married with 1 child.

With almost 28 years of safety and flight operations experience, Quiello was most recently vice president of safety for Delta and at United will be responsible for managing all aspects of corporate safety, security, environment and regulatory compliance, and will oversee United's corporate emergency response programs and internal evaluation programs. He succeeds Bill Yantiss, who after almost 20 years with United is retiring, having held a variety of senior positions within the safety division, including a significant role in implementing United's industry-leading Flight Operations Quality Assurance program and Aviation Safety Action programs.
Throughout Quiello's career at Delta, he served in several safety and flight operations roles and currently serves on the Air Transport Association Safety Committee and on the Board of Governors of the Flight Safety Foundation. He has held the role of chief technical pilot, chief pilot at New York's LaGuardia and Kennedy airports and director of fleets. He was qualified as a captain on various aircraft, including the McDonnell Douglas 88, Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Boeing 777. Quiello is a former U.S. Marine Corps officer and a graduate of the U.S. Navy Flight School.
