Universal Travel Group Inc. Travel a growing travel services provider in the People's Republic of China specializing in online and customer representative services to the travel service industry offering packaged tours, air ticketing, hotel reservation and air cargo agency services, today announced the appointment of Mr. Jing Xie to the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective February 17, 2009.
Mr. Xie joined Universal Travel Group in 2005 and was promoted to Deputy General Manager in July of that year. In 2006, he was appointed Secretary of the Board and Vice President where he was responsible for managing operations on a corporate level, overseeing the integration of several strategic acquisitions, and being the IR representative to the capital market. He has significant hands-on experience in internal controls and financial reporting. Mr. Xie obtained a Doctor of Business Administration from People's University of China and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
