Kellner joined Continental in 1995 as chief financial officer. In May 2001, he was elected president of the airline and to the Board of Directors, and in March 2003, he was named president and chief operating officer. He became chairman and chief executive officer in December 2004.
Prior to joining Continental, Kellner was executive vice president and chief financial officer of American Savings Bank, owned by The Robert M. Bass Group. Prior to that, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of The Koll Company, a private real estate investment and construction firm.
Kellner graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of South Carolina, where he served as Student Body President. In addition, the University of South Carolina presented him with the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1998.
Kellner is active in numerous community and civic organizations. He currently serves on the board of directors for Marriott International and the Air Transport Association. On the civic front, he is a member of the board of directors for the Methodist Hospital, YMCA of Greater Houston, the Greater Houston Partnership, the Spring Branch Education Foundation, and Central Houston, Inc., and is a member of the Boy Scouts of America National Executive Board. Kellner also serves on the advisory boards of the March of Dimes and Teach for America, and is on the development board of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He resides in Houston with his wife, Susan, and their four children.

Jacques Saint-Laurent, président de Bell Helicopter à Mirabel, a quitté ses fonctions vendredi pour devenir président des opérations européennes du fabricant d’hélicoptères. Une promotion pour le principal intéressé, mais une perte pour l’industrie aéronautique québécoise.
Jacques Saint-Laurent a été intimement lié au développement de l’usine de Bell Helicopter à Mirabel depuis son tout premier jour, tout comme aux succès phénoménaux qu’a enregistrés l’usine au cours des dernières années.
Il a été parmi les 100 premiers Québécois à être embauchés par Bell Textron, en 1984, pour être formés durant deux ans aux installations de la maison mère au Texas en prévision de l’ouverture de l’usine de Mirabel en 1986.
Il y a fait ses débuts comme ingénieur d’essais en vol et il a occupé par la suite différents postes de direction, avant de devenir président et chef de la direction de Bell Helicopter Canada en 2002.

Continental Airlines announced today that its senior vice president customer experience, David Grizzle, 54, has informed the company that he has decided to retire effective Sept. 19, 2008 to pursue other commercial and charitable activities.
"David has been a dedicated and valued member of our senior management team during his 23 years at Continental," said Larry Kellner, Continental's chairman and chief executive officer. "He has contributed greatly to our airline by focusing on the customer and using creativity to resolve issues. We will miss him, and wish him well in this next phase of his career."
Grizzle has held various positions during his tenure at Continental. He has served as senior vice president of marketing strategy and corporate development and was vice president of legal and corporate affairs for Texas Air Corporation, the former parent company of Continental. He joined New York Airlines (which later merged with Continental Airlines) in 1984 as vice president of administration and general counsel. During a leave of absence from Continental in late 2004 and 2005, Grizzle served in Afghanistan as transportation and infrastructure coordinator for the U.S. Department of State.
"No airline has a more consistent and methodical commitment than Continental to improve the customer experience, and that focus will continue and expand long after my departure," said Grizzle.

Carson, 63, has led BCA since 2006 after two years heading up the unit's sales organization, where he was credited with reinvigorating sales of Boeing commercial airplanes and related services to airline customers and leasing companies around the world. He previously served as BCA's executive vice president and chief financial officer, where he led the finance and business strategy organizations, as well as information systems and services. He also held leadership positions in the company's defense business and was the first president of Connexion by Boeing.
"The Boeing board of directors and I appreciate Scott's long record of accomplishment across many disciplines, functions and businesses, and the enduring contributions he has made to Boeing through 38 years of service," said McNerney. "Thanks to his leadership and operational experience, Boeing Commercial Airplanes has performed extremely well in a tough business environment and remains positioned solidly for continued market success."
McNerney said that Carson and Albaugh will work together to ensure a smooth transition of customer and other business relationships, and that Carson will also assist on special projects for the company through year end. Scott Griffin has announced his retirement after 28 years at Boeing.
Griffin, 52, is retiring July 1. He has been Boeing CIO since 1999, and his 28 years of service to the company have included positions in customer support, manufacturing and information technology in both the commercial and defense business units. He will be pursuing a master's degree in non-profit leadership at Seattle University, starting this summer.

Ted Gavrilis is retiring after 36 years at Lockheed Martin.
Gavrilis has led Commercial Space Systems since 2000, providing executive leadership for the marketing, design, development, production and on-orbit delivery of satellites and related systems for commercial and government customers worldwide.
