Liebherr-Aerospace at Farnborough International Airshow 2016

July 2016 – At this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, Liebherr-Aerospace will again present its products from the areas of flight control and actuation, air management, landing gear and gearboxes, as well as its customer services. In addition, electronic components will be on display on the company’s stand B100 in hall 4.

A leading supplier of systems for the aviation industry, Liebherr-Aerospace will again welcome visitors at Farnborough International Airshow, which takes place from July 11 to 15. Highlight exhibits on the 250 m² stand include a nose landing gear housing with cadmium-free, and thus more environmentally friendly corrosion protection coating.

The company will also display a weight-optimized bell crank made by additive layer manufacturing (“3D printing”). It is the first time that Liebherr-Aerospace will present this part of a helicopter’s main rotor actuator at the trade show in England.

In addition, an animated film will give visitors fascinating insights into how the landing gear, flight controls and air management systems developed, manufactured and serviced by Liebherr-Aerospace function on board the aircraft.

Electronic Components made by Liebherr

Liebherr’s components division will also be represented at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow again: Liebherr-Elektronik GmbH will exhibit its electronic control units and power electronics on Liebherr-Aerospace’s stand. The company develops and manufactures its vast product portfolio at its Lindau site in the South of Germany. Its electronics have already proven their reliability in many aircraft programs. Thanks to its wide portfolio of different hardware platforms, Liebherr is able to develop electronic equipment up to a design level assurance A (DAL A) for power electronics, as well as control and monitoring electronic families. The exhibits at the Farnborough International Airshow also include controllers for integrated air management systems, control and monitoring electronics for high-lift systems, a controller for supplemental cooling systems with power and control electronics, power electronics for an active differential gearbox as well as remote electronics.
