News actualites aeromorning

ST. GEORGE, Utah, March 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported 137,136 block hours in February 2017, compared to 152,822 block hours in February 2016, a decrease of 15,686 or 10.3%. The net decrease was consistent with SkyWest’s fleet transition plan to improve the mix of aircraft in its fleet by adding new E175 aircraft, while reducing its 50-seat jets.

The year-over-year net change was primarily driven by approximately 11,000 additional block hours from its E175 aircraft and a decrease of approximately 26,700 block hours from its other aircraft types.

In February 2017, SkyWest’s dual class aircraft represented approximately 48% of SkyWest’s total block hour production for the month compared to approximately 41% for the month of February 2016.

SkyWest reported 290,799 block hours for year-to-date February 2017, compared to 315,229 block hours year-to-date February 2016, a decrease of 24,430, or 7.7%. This net change was primarily driven by approximately 23,500 additional block hours from its E175 aircraft and a decrease of approximately 48,000 block hours from its other aircraft types.

SkyWest had 80,385 departures in February 2017 compared to 89,975 in February 2016, a decrease of 9,590, or 10.7%. SkyWest generated 2.43 billion available seat miles (ASMs) for February 2017, compared to 2.67 billion ASMs for February 2016, or a 8.7% decrease. Additional flight statistics for February, including passengers enplaned, revenue passenger miles, and passenger load factors, are included in the accompanying table.
