Introducing new innovations at the Singapore AirshowLufthansa Technik, the world's leading maintenance provider for the civil aviation sector, is one of the
industry's most important MRO innovators. Lufthansa Technik is presenting important examples of its
innovative capabilities at the Singapore Airshow. This includes product and technology developments along with tailored solutions for
airline and VIP customers.
Countering the current trend in the industry, Lufthansa Technik has significantly increased its innovation
budget and now has a total of 210 employees dedicated exclusively to innovation, working in various teams. They are an essential component in an integral innovation
strategy that also includes an Innovation Pipeline, where 160 selected projects are bundled in a special IT
platform.
On the occasion of the Singapore Airshow 2016, Lufthansa Technik will be introducing a selection of its latest
innovations in miniature at the company's booth. This will include such diverse products and projects as the
kerosene-saving bionically-engineered shark skin, various digital cabin innovations, efficient diagnosis and
repair procedures, an environmentally friendly engine washing system, and anelectromobility concept.
The Singapore Airshow is the biggest event in the Asian aviation industry's calendar and one of the world's
three most important aviation trade fairs. It serves as a global marketplace and a networking platform for the
military and civil aviation sectors.
Lufthansa Technik will be presenting its most important innovations for the region in Singapore, combining its
reputation as a reliable partner with its growing local presence and a broad spectrum of visionary products.
Interested visitors and customers will find Lufthansa Technik at Booth K65 at the Singapore Airshow 2016, inthe Changi Exhibition Centre, from 16 to 21 February. Lufthansa Technik's innovation managers and project teamleaders will be in attendance and able to answer questions, as will representatives of various subsidiaries and
holidngs of the Lufthansa Technik Group.
